Using Reporting Features In-Season

Traditional Reports: Spray Charts, Stat Tables, and Stat Books

  • The Traditional Reports tool on the 6-4-3 Charts platform offers in-depth analysis for specific teams and rosters, with year-by-year or career stats.
  • There are two types of spray chart layouts available – a standard 9×7 spray chart and a modified 5×5 spray chart.
  • Users can customize the display of players, data points, and report elements on the reports as they desire.
  • Users can create on-demand detailed PDF reports based on parameters they set.
  • The report includes player-specific spray charts & tables, stat tables, and selected sprays, with a consolidated view of all players on one sheet.
  • The Stats Book feature offers Excel/CSV files of all data and stats for further analysis.

Interactive Stat Tables: Stats+

  • The Stats+ feature allows users to access comprehensive team stats, including hitting and pitching stats, year-by-year career stats, and various split types such as vs. RHP/LHP, number of outs, and base state.
  • The feature also presents a robust set of swing analytics, sabermetrics, ball profile information, and base running information. Users can also select a date range.
  • Users can export the table to a PDF or CSV file, or copy and paste it into their own spreadsheet.

Player Vs. Player and Table Functions

  • The Player vs Player feature allows users to visualize (and export) reports on historical matchups between their team’s hitters and the opposing team’s pitchers and vice versa.
  • The platform’s TrackMan SYNC feature offers numerous on-demand reports that users can generate for detailed analysis.
  • The TrackMan SYNC interface displays fully interactive tables, enabling users to sort data as per their requirements.
  • Users can also export sorted data to a PDF or CSV file or copy and paste it elsewhere.

Hitter Reports, Catcher Framing & Team Stats

  • The Game Replay feature allows users to select a player and view detailed information about every pitch they saw, their swing decisions, and other key stats. The data can then be exported to a post-game hitting report.
  • The Catcher Framing reporting feature includes a one-page report that can be run for a specific date, last game, past month, entire season, or player’s career. This report includes K rates, Shadow Zones, Framing Plus, and other comprehensive stats, accompanied by visuals.
  • The Team Stats feature allows users to select a team and view the team’s play discipline. This data can be exported as a PDF or CSV file, with the option to view all players on one page or focus on specific areas.

More On-Demand Reporting In TrackMan Sync

  • Within TrackMan SYNC, users can generate reports quickly using built-in templates, such as splits templates and post-game reports.
  • Users can customize reports by selecting specific data from the interface and exporting these reports as PDF or CSV files.
  • TrackMan SYNC also includes a dedicated reporting tab for additional on-demand reporting, where users can select templates like weekly recaps, in-game stats, and season summaries and generate heat maps, sprays, and tabular data reports.

Using Spray Charts

Your Guide To Spray Charts

Using Spray Charts Across The 6-4-3 Charts Interface

Two outs, bases loaded, bottom of the ninth. A line drive is scorched to the gap in left-center. The centerfielder, who “happens” to be shaded slightly to left only has to take a few steps to catch it. Everyone watching chalks it up as a lucky play… but we know differently.

We know that play originated two days prior when an assistant coach was looking at the opposing team’s spray chart and noticed that with runners in scoring position, that particular batter hit 42% of the balls to left field, 36% to left-center, and only 10% to center. The result of this preparation? The centerfielder shifted slightly, and a game-ending out was made.

A baseball or softball team’s season is the cumulation of thousands and thousands of different situations. Being able to sort out those situations in a visual manner (i.e. a spray chart) will help you better understand your opponents and their tendencies.

6-4-3’s Spray Charts give you a unique look at these specific situations so you can better understand your opponent, batter by batter, pitch by pitch.

Stats+ & Stat Comparison

Your Guide To Interactive Stats & Stat Comparisons

Available With In The 6-4-3 Charts Web App

The Interactive Stats module is the ultimate look at all the traditional and advanced statistics that matter for a team. Sort by Hitting or Pitching and get an immediate look at that team’s player-by-player breakdown of:

  • Standard Stats
  • Swing/Pitch Analytics
  • Sabermetics
  • Role (Pitching)
  • Short Game
  • Baserunning

Then sort these sections by a certain situation, including Vs L/R, With 2 Strikes, Last 3 PA, With RISP, and much more. Finally, look over to the bar graph where you can see how a particular player’s stats stack up when compared to their team, conference, and NCAA Division (I, II, or III).

The Stat Comparison module allows you to compare the stats between two players (pitcher vs. pitcher or hitter vs. hitter). In this module, you can look at different statistical groups and break those down further by split type.

This module comes in handy when you want to compare two players on your own team in order to make a lineup decision.

Stat Books and Pocket Cards

Your Guide To Stat Books & Pocket Cards

Our Stat Books module allows coaches to export all the stats available on their team or an opponent into an Excel file. Sort and filter by more than ten split types, create your own custom charts and data visualizations, or export tabular statistics directly into your own scouting reports. And finally, coaches can view historical rosters all the way back to 2017 and export by season or by career. [Example Career Stat Book]

Our Pocket Card module makes it easy to export your opponent’s lineup into a pre-formatted pocket card excel file. Edit it with instructions for your players and they’ll be good to go!

Player vs Player Feature

Your Guide To The Player vs. Player Module

In The 6-4-3 Charts Web App

The Player vs Player module is for you to clearly see how your team has matched up against an opponent throughout their career. Select any opposing player and quickly see the match-up stats between that player and your entire team.

The Player vs Player module can provide important insight for all of the coaches on staff. Pitching coaches can use this module to see how the opponent’s lineup has faired against their pitching staff in previous matchups and help dictate bullpen decisions accordingly. Hitting coaches can look at their team’s past stats vs opposing pitchers and help set the lineup accordingly. And finally, head coaches can take in all the information so they can make informed late-game substitutions accordingly.
