Trackman Data Visualization

With Trackman, your program has all the data you could ever need. The next challenge, though, is what to do with that data. 6-4-3 Charts’ Trackman SYNC interface (available with the Trackman Integration) solves that challenge by drastically changing the way your program can visualize, interact with, and gain insight from your Trackman data. This is a one-of-a-kind tool that sits within our current 6-4-3 Charts interface, offering you an unprecedented level of interaction.

Learn more about all the different modules that make up our Trackman SYNC interface. See how easily you can start creating detailed scouting reports on opponents and using the data from those reports to make carefully calculated in-game decisions on the field!

What Can You Do When You Visualize Your Trackman Data?

All Trackman Visualization tools outlined below are available as part of our Trackman Integration, available as an add-on with the 643 suite. They are not sold separately.

Pitch Highlighter

When first interacting with our Trackman SYNC interface, the Pitch Highlighter tool is a great place to start. The three interactive displays show the pitch location, the ball in play (and the result of those BIP), and the quality contact by the hitter.

The displays can be interacted with and filtered to better understand which pitches are working and which are getting barrelled.

Don’t forget about the cold, hard stats!

The Pitch Description table helps users explore each pitch type. Here you’ll find data on everything from Spin Rate to Induced Vertical Break.

The middle table shows the Batted Ball Profile, which breaks down the data on balls in play by pitch type.

The bottom Plate Discipline table details how disciplined hitters are against different pitch types. It’s particularly interesting to look at the different Whiff and Put-Away Percentages to see if the pitcher gets their outs via the heat or the breaking ball!

And, with the Synergy Integration

Programs that also have our Synergy Integration, can pair Trackman data visualization with Synergy video inside the Pitch Highlighter tool. PLUS, you can use our interactive filters to select only the pitches, locations, and situations you want to see!

Pitcher Arsenal

The Pitcher Arsenal module gives users the most in-depth look possible at (an opposing) pitcher’s full repertoire. Pitch-type by pitch-type, visualize each of the pitches by vertical drop, release point, and spin. Pair these data points with our other advanced analytics, and there will be no guessing at the plate for hitters!

And, with the Synergy Integration

Programs that also have our Synergy Integration, can pair TrackMan data visualization with Synergy video and view associated video inside the Pitch Arsenal tool. PLUS, users can use our interactive filters to select only the pitches, locations, and situations they want to see!

Zone Illustration

The Zone Illustration module is a powerful tool for evaluating a hitter’s strengths and weaknesses around the zone. A quick scroll through the first nine illustrations and you’ll get a clear picture of where in the zone a hitter tends to swing, make contact, miss, get on base, and make elevated contact. Overall, the Zone Illustrator is a great tool to help develop a quick plan for your pitchers on how to attack your opponent’s lineup.

All Sprays

The All Sprays module is a great tool to use if you are in charge of defensive positioning for your team or you are trying to uncover tendencies in your own hitters.

Want to see all of a batter’s two-strike hits to leftfield? You can do that in the All Sprays module!

Check out the screenshots below to see all the sprays you have access to in this module.

Game Replay

The Game Replay tool is ideal for programs with our Synergy Integration, but it can also be a great post-game tool on its own. Game Replay has a Pitch Summary table and two options for quick, post-game Hitter Reports.

Also, you can use the Custom Reporting tool to bring multiple data sources into one report.

And, with the Synergy Integration

Programs that also have our Synergy Integration, can use the Game Replay tool in Trackman SYNC to watch the entire game, isolate on a single pitcher’s outing, or just look back at a single at-bat.

Heatmaps

Our Heatmaps tool is an indispensable tool for scouting opponents’ pitchers (and hitters). With a couple of filter options in place, you’ll be able to quickly identify where a pitcher can execute their pitches and where hitters do damage on them.

Pair the insights you gained from the Heatmaps with those from the Zone Illustration module, and you’ll have an extremely detailed zone report on a pitcher – or hitter!

Catcher Defense

null

The Catcher Defense tool gives coaches a quick look at the receiving strengths and weaknesses of their (or their opponent’s) catchers as they work to help their pitchers win borderline pitches from umpires. The interactive tile allows users to filter on batter or pitcher handedness, pitch types, and date ranges to view more holistic trends and specific zone-by-zone metrics.

The Catcher Defense tool includes a K-Zone Framing chart along with a detailed statistical table. The statistical table is broken down by each of the “shadow zones” around the strike zone and then: Number of Pitches, Strike Rate, Framing Runs, Lg Avg Framing Runs, and Framing+.

Framing+ is a new metric for collegiate baseball/softball developed by 6-4-3 Sports that scales the catcher’s framing ability against the league average.

Umpire Reports

The Umpire Reports module gives coaches a look at an umpire’s strike zone and, more specifically, how he/she calls pitches in the “shadow zones.” The tabulations for each shadow zone include: number of pitches, strike rate, strike-called accuracy, ball-called accuracy, and weighted accuracy.

Team Stats

The Team Stats tool organizes Trackman’s data into neat, sortable, and filterable stat tables. You can also export the table(s) to a PDF, CSV, or XLS file!

The Team ‘Pitching’ Stats table allows you view the table in four different statistical groups:

  • Standard
  • Batted Balls
  • Plate Discipline
  • Pitch Description

You are also able to filter the table by Pitch Type:

  • Fastballs
  • Breaking
  • Offspeed
  • Fastball
  • Slider
  • Cutter
  • Sinker
  • Curveball
  • Changeup

In addition to the Pitch Type filters available on the side of the stat table. Above the stat table, you have additional filter options:

  • Date Range
  • Handedness (Faced)
  • Count
  • Pitch Velocity
  • Spin Rate
  • Log Type (Tagged or Auto)
