6-4-3 Charts is proud to grow its team again with the addition of Jordan Wergiles as Data Quality Manager! With experience working with both college and MLB data, Wergiles’ background in data collection, compilation, visualization, and analysis make him the perfect addition to the 643 team.

In his role as Data Quality Manager, Jordan will manage data ingestion processes, conduct data quality procedures, and take large part in maintaining backend infrastructure and scaled design. Jordan’s deep understanding of diamond sports data and expansive skills will help 6-4-3 Charts continue to enhance the experience for all clients and stakeholders.

After graduating high school, Jordan set out to build a career in baseball analytics. He attended Wake Forest University where he pursued a degree in Business & Enterprise Management with a concentration in Sports Analytics and minors in Mathematical Sciences and Computer Science. He also was one of the founding members of the renowned student-led baseball analytics department, and continued to contribute to the department throughout his time at Wake Forest.

After graduating from Wake Forest, Wergiles interned in the Baseball Analytics Department of the Detroit Tigers and was promoted to the team’s Player Development Analytics Coordinator at the end of 2019. After his time with the Tigers, Jordan joined the Cincinnati Reds and served as their Player Development Analytics Coordinator over the past two seasons.

“I am ecstatic to be joining the incredibly talented 643 Charts team as the team’s new Data Quality Manager,’ said Jordan Wergiles. ‘I have been very fortunate to have had the opportunity to contribute to the analytic departments of 2 MLB organizations over the course of the past 5 MLB seasons, and I am looking forward to leveraging my experiences to further innovation in all analytic areas at 6-4-3 Charts.”

Through his past experiences, Jordan has seen firsthand how professional baseball teams can innovate with almost unlimited sources of data. As these data sources become more accessible at the college level, teams will have the unique opportunity to gain competitive advantages through the use of new data. The addition of Jordan in the Data Quality Manager role will aid in the ingestion, management, and analysis of such data.

“Jordan is a slam-dunk hire,” said 6-4-3 Charts Co-Founder and CEO Derek Weldon. “His vast experience at the collegiate and MLB levels speaks for itself, but his energy, dedication, and passion are what we are excited about. Jordan is going to make 6-4-3 better and allow us to keep moving things forward for our college baseball, softball, and MLB clients.”

Outside of work, Jordan is an extremely active individual who loves the outdoors! He competes in long course triathlon races and has been to 26 national parks. He’s a big Demon Deacons sports fan and recently moved to Golden, Colorado.
