Our commitment
643 Charts is committed to making our college baseball and softball analytics platform usable by as many people as possible, including coaches, staff, and student-athletes who use assistive technology. We treat accessibility as an ongoing part of how we build and maintain our products.
Conformance target
We measure our products against Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, Revised Section 508 (36 CFR Part 1194), and EN 301 549 V3.2.1.
Our current status is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA: some parts of the platform do not fully conform. We maintain an Accessibility Conformance Report (ACR, VPAT 2.5 INT) that states our conformance level for every applicable success criterion, including the criteria we do not currently meet. The current ACR is available to institutional customers on request at the contact below.
Known limitations
We report these openly rather than omitting them:
- Data visualizations (heatmaps, spray charts, strike-zone plots, rankings) convey information primarily through color and do not provide non-color or text/table equivalents.
- Prerecorded tutorial videos do not have synchronized captions or transcripts.
- Dynamic status messages (loading, results, notifications) are presented visually and are not announced to screen readers.
- Generated PDF reports are not produced as tagged, accessible PDFs.
- Images including team logos, partner marks, and player headshots do not consistently carry text alternatives.
- Color contrast has not been fully measured across the interface; some brand-color controls fall below the 4.5:1 minimum.
These items are prioritized in our internal accessibility remediation roadmap.
What we have improved
As of July 29, 2026 the following are live in production: page language declaration, a visible keyboard focus indicator, a skip-to-content link and semantic main landmark, programmatically associated labels on all sign-in and account forms, accessible names on approximately 98 icon-only controls, and keyboard operability for script-driven interactive elements.
Accommodations and support
If you encounter an accessibility barrier in our platform, or need content provided in an alternative format, contact:

Please include the page or feature involved, the assistive technology and browser you are using, and what you were trying to do. Accessibility reports go directly to the person who owns accessibility work for the product, and we work with the affected user on a resolution or an alternative means of accessing the content.
Assessment approach
Our current ACR is a self-assessment, produced through manual source-code review, static inspection of the production application, and manual keyboard testing against a written test checklist. It has not been validated with assistive technology or automated scanners, and the report states this in its Evaluation Methods section. We do not represent criteria as supported that we have not verified.
